I bought a new camera a few days ago, because i felt that i’ve outgrown the 2-year old Canon G9 (which is a fantastic camera in its own right). After some shopping and ideas from the FOH crew, i decided that the best fit, budget wise, and practicality wise, was the Canon 500D. I’ve been experimenting with it lately, and its quite easy to get into, especially since many of the controls are common across all Canon cameras. Here are some early shots, with the kit lense that came with the camera, EFS 18-55mm. The shots were taken with a flash diffuser, 400ISO, f5.6, 0.4s.

The model cigar is the Diplomaticos #5.
