Verdict: 84/100. Has tremendous aging potential, but even at 2 years, is a very difficult cigar to smoke: overpowering and rough. The rumours that the blend has changed recently are likely inaccurate based on this example; being such, 5 years is probably the bare minimum of time required before it smoothens out and becomes terrific. Flavour-wise, the classic Partagas signature is there in heaps — bitter toast, rusty earth and leather. A complex cigar that evolves well over the length of the cigar. Not a daytime cigar, full bodied; make sure to have a heavy meal and easing libation with this cigar.
